TPG 010 | Minister Rohan K. Samuels on Getting Your Vision Back, The Effects of Environment on Identity, How the Church Can Reach The Next Generation

On today's episode, Jimmy has a conversation with Minister Rohan Samuels...

In 2009, Rohan Samuels had identified his calling but there were internal obstacles. Rohan discusses his struggles with school, insecurities, and how he overcame them.

We discuss how Rohan hid his insecurities in sports and music however, God challenged him to step outside of his comfort zone and become a preacher.

During his education, Rohan learned how to draw context from the scripture and take complex abstract topics and communicate it to the ordinary person. He believes that scripture can speak to our situations in the 21st century in our community and society.

Minister Rohan Samuels discusses why the church can seem so divided and how the status of the church has an effect on culture. He talks about “Kingdom Establishments“ vs “Churches” and how we should be Kingdom members not just church members.

“Culture doesn’t need another church, it needs another Kingdom citizen” - Minister Rohan Samuels.

Rohan’s vision is to disciple the next generation of Christians and empower people to be passionate about God.

We discuss the Preacher’s sermon “I Got My Vision Back” and we dive deep into his understanding about having a vision, the effects on environment, and identities.

Rohan speaks about the 3 Hebrew boys Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from chapter 3 of the Book of Daniel.
